In line with the National Education Policy's mandated internship hours, we give school and college students a structured, verified way to complete that requirement — working alongside our field teams on real service to humanity, and earning an official internship certificate for their contribution.

Janseva Manav Kalyan Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organisation headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, established with a singular purpose: to serve people (“Jan Seva”) through structured, sustainable welfare initiatives. We work at the intersection of community outreach, student internship programs and public health — designing programs that respond directly to the everyday realities of the communities we serve.
Rather than approaching social work as one-off charity, we build long-term frameworks: recurring health surveys, structured student internship programs, and outreach systems designed to scale across Gujarat and beyond.

2020
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, our founding team began informal, on-ground relief and welfare work in Vadodara — the grassroots effort that would grow into a formal organisation.

Janseva Manav Kalyan Foundation is officially incorporated as a Section 8 non-profit organisation in Vadodara, Gujarat — marking the formal beginning of our mission.
Early 2026
Launch of our first Community Welfare Survey initiative, focused on understanding the needs of senior citizens and underserved households across Vadodara.

Launch of our inaugural Student Internship Program, giving students a structured, NEP-aligned pathway to complete their internship hours through genuine community service.

Here's how we're translating our mission into measurable, on-ground impact.
Flagship Initiative
Senior Citizen Health Surveys
A door-to-door and community-centre-based effort to understand the health status, access barriers and support needs of elderly residents in Vadodara and surrounding areas. Findings directly inform the design of future health camps, awareness drives and referral partnerships with local health providers.
- Conduct structured health and welfare surveys among senior citizens

Why it matters — elderly citizens are often among the most overlooked members of a community. By listening first, we ensure our health interventions are built around real, documented needs rather than assumptions.
Flagship Initiative
Student Internship Program
Under the National Education Policy (NEP), students are required to complete a set number of internship hours as part of their education. Our Student Internship Program gives school and college students a structured, verified way to fulfil that requirement — working alongside our field teams on real, on-ground service to humanity, not desk-bound formality.
- Offer NEP-aligned internship placements for school and college students
- Assign interns to genuine community-service work across our outreach, health and welfare programs
- Track completed hours and issue an official Internship Certificate on successful completion
- Provide structured mentorship so students build real-world skills alongside their service
Why it matters — students today are asked to give back to society as part of their education — and we believe that service should be meaningful, not a formality. Our internship program lets students fulfil their NEP requirement while making a genuine difference in the lives of the people we serve.

What's Next
Beyond outreach and internships — toward digital empowerment
Our work doesn't stop at surveys and internships. We're building a community development pipeline aimed at long-term economic resilience.
e-Vyapari — Digital Empowerment for Street Vendors
We're proud to have incubated e-Vyapari — a digital assistant built for urban street vendors, proposed to Urban Local Bodies and Town Vending Committees across Gujarat. Through one mobile app, vendors can apply for a recognised vending spot, look up welfare schemes, connect with nearby vendors for everyday supplies, and even donate unsold stock to a verified local charity.
e-Vyapari is currently a proposal under review, submitted to the PM SVANidhi Startup Challenge, and is designed to work alongside — never in place of — the concerned municipal authority. It is planned to remain free for vendors, available in every Indian language, and built with strict safeguards around identity verification and data privacy.
Livelihood Enhancement & Micro-Entrepreneurship
Building on the e-Vyapari model developed by our Foundation, we're developing a broader livelihood framework to help small vendors, artisans and aspiring entrepreneurs establish and grow micro-businesses using digital platforms.
